📋 Description

• Develop and establish program guidelines, policies, and procedures • Determine proper staffing • Prepare and maintain billing guidelines for each insurance carrier • Coach and train staff • Track and trend rules in Encoda for continued development • Develop creative solutions to operational challenges • Retrieve claims from Electronic Medical Records (EMR) • Review charges, documentation, diagnosis coding, pointers, modifiers, NDCs, providers, sites, insurance, filing types, and referrals/authorizations for accuracy and appropriateness • Identify and resolve duplicate charges and system-scrubbing exceptions • Communicate questions, concerns, and observed trends to hub personnel, providers, coding teams, RCM staff, and management • Approve and batch claims • Check for unretrieved charges • Work front-end rejections to ensure delivery to payers • Establish and maintain department working documents, policies, procedures, and carrier-specific guidelines • Conduct team meetings and ongoing training on questions, error trends, process failures, and adherence • Provide ongoing training and support • Supervise RCM Billing Specialists and Scrubbing department staff • Maintain knowledge of practice management and other computer software • Attend requested meetings, Medicare and continuing education courses • Complete assigned AP training, including CPR, OSHA, HIPAA, Compliance, and Information Security • Comply with Allergy Partners policies and model the AP Code of Conduct and Compliance Program

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent • College education or trade school preferred • Certified CPC preferred • Previous Medical Billing experience preferred • Preference for those with a minimum of eighteen months experience • Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications • Knowledge of practice management and Microsoft processing software • Proven understanding of Explanation of Benefits forms, claim forms and the insurance billing process • Working knowledge of managed care, commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid reimbursement • Basic knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding • Strong written and verbal communication skills
