📋 Description

• Use and develop data infrastructure projects and proof-of-concept business solutions for analytics and Data Science users • Work directly with data scientists and analytic engineers on needs and tactical solutions • Execute data engineering work tracks from inception and prototyping through fully developed solutions • Build test scripts, execute testing, and work with data scientists and business teams to ensure end-user acceptance • Execute rapid development of new data and analytic work tracks through fast iteration and quick sprints • Develop and deliver data infrastructure supporting predictive modeling and analytics with minimal supervision • Mentor team members in a business technical environment and promote innovation and process improvement • Participate in developing enterprise data assets, information platforms, and data spaces • Develop concepts, proof-of-concept designs, and prototypes for business or research data solutions • Work with Data Engineers and business partners on cross-functional teams • Develop business subject-matter expertise and advanced analytics expertise • Support analytic data-source requirements development and document requirements with minimal supervision • No supervisory duties

🎯 Requirements

• Experience and qualifications commensurate with the compensation range • Fluency in parallel processing/programming, software/programming languages, and technologies including SQL, Python, and Spark • Background investigation required • Must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions when working from home • Appropriate desk and seating required for home workspace • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
