📋 Description

• Investigate and evaluate homeowners property claims from start to finish • Confirm facts of loss, determine coverage, assess damages, and negotiate settlements within assigned authority • Manage the entire claim lifecycle, including supplements, Additional Living Expense (ALE) claims, contents, and personal property losses • Work with customers, contractors, and other partners to handle claims accurately and efficiently • Deliver excellent customer service through clear and timely communication • Handle all aspects of Homeowners first-party claims, including coverage, damages, and subrogation • Partner with fraud and subrogation representatives to achieve the best outcome • Recognize and identify residential construction and repair components, structural integrity, and home systems • Identify customer needs and use appropriate customer service skills • Determine subrogation or fraud potential and appropriate handling • Apply increased experience at the Adjuster II level or rotate into specialty positions

🎯 Requirements

• Experienced Property Desk Adjuster, preferably located in North Carolina • Proficiency in Xactimate • Strong foundation in claims handling, including supplements, ALE, contents, and full claim ownership • Experience handling claims in both field and desk settings strongly preferred • Active adjuster license or a license qualifying for reciprocity in applicable states strongly preferred • Broad understanding of company-written insurance policies and the insurance industry • Knowledge of residential construction and repair, including structural integrity and home systems • Ability to investigate coverage, damages, and subrogation with discretion and independence • Strong organizational skills • Proactive approach • Excellent customer service skills • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment • Must possess authorization to work in the United States • Individuals holding an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments before onboarding and may not hold outside appointments during employment • Applicants with a resident producer license must surrender that license when instructed by the licensing team • Remote work requires a dedicated, private workspace, appropriate desk and seating, and reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
