📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Claims/Special Investigation Unit to combat fraudulent claims in No-Fault and other cases • Research, prepare, file, and litigate fraud cases, including RICO and other affirmative actions • Develop litigation strategies on legal matters • Review case files and plan resolutions • Draft discovery requests, motions, memorandums, and legal briefs • Prepare for and conduct depositions and Examinations Under Oath • Attend arbitrations, mediations, and trials • Work with expert witnesses in preparing for or defending litigation • Represent the company in conferences and hearings in State and Federal courts • Draft pre-trial and post-trial motions • Negotiate settlements and prepare related documentation • Manage and oversee intermediate-level litigation matters • No supervisory duties

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctorate • Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar • Federal Court Admission or the ability to seek admission upon selection for this role • 4 or more years of experience • Ability to manage and oversee intermediate-level litigation matters • Legal research and writing skills • Proficient with Microsoft Office and related computer applications • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality • Ethics and integrity • Knowledge of legal holds and discovery processes • Collaborative team-player mindset • Background investigation required • Dedicated, private home workspace free from distractions • Appropriate desk and seating for working from home • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload • Generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
