📋 Description

• Support pre-trial litigation from initial file assignment through trial and post-trial procedures • Evaluate cases • Prepare necessary legal documentation • Obtain and prepare pertinent defense information • Advise clients and claims personnel on legal issues • Represent insureds and the Company before courts, arbitration panels, or administrative bodies in personal injury lawsuit defense • Supervise and direct subordinate legal staff, including paralegals, secretaries, transcriptionists, and support specialists • Provide trial support, handle depositions and trial documents, prepare law and motion documents, appear at law and motion and other court hearings, conduct research, review medical records, and complete specific case assignments

🎯 Requirements

• Requires a law degree • Admission to the bar in the state(s) where practicing • Effective communication, persuasion, writing, and analytical skills • Ability to work independently with minimum direction • Good organizational skills • Considerable automobile travel, up to 20% of work time • Must meet established company standards regarding personal driving history and current license status • One plus years as a licensed attorney with insurance defense experience or equivalent relative experience (preferred) • 1st and 2nd chair trial experience is a plus (preferred) • Law degree from a state-accredited or ABA-accredited law school (preferred) • Exceptional communication and analytical skills (preferred)
