📋 Description

• Travel to customers' homes to conduct on-site property inspections • Investigate coverage and review property damage • Prepare estimates and settle claims promptly and efficiently • Handle virtual claims countrywide using platforms including Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration • Focus expertise on water-loss claims • Provide compassionate, clear, and customer-focused claims service • Communicate with customers by phone, email, and video chat • Offer customers communication preferences and keep them updated on claim progress • Evaluate and negotiate settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants • Apply legal and business-standard methodologies when negotiating claims • Use estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms in a fast-paced environment • Execute policies according to policy agreements • Maintain clear claims-system records and complete timely, accurate documentation

🎯 Requirements

• 2 years' previous experience as an outside adjuster is highly desired • Previous experience as an outside adjuster is highly desired • Proficiency using Xactimate and other relevant estimating software • Strong critical thinking and technical skills to assess damages accurately and expedite claim settlements • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to travel to customers' homes and handle virtual claims countrywide • Detail-oriented and organized • Residency within the posted location is mandatory • Ability to carry a 50-pound ladder and access up to a 6/12 pitch on a one- to two-story roof • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel • Must submit to a background investigation • Office/area may require obtaining an adjuster and/or appraiser license; if applicable, license(s) must be secured within 60 days of hire • Position unavailable to California, Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico residents • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position • Dedicated, private home workspace free from distractions with appropriate desk and seating • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
