📋 Description

• Travel to customers' homes to conduct on-site property inspections • Investigate coverage and review property damage • Prepare estimates and settle claims promptly and efficiently • Handle virtual claims countrywide • Use Xactimate, ClaimsX Video Collaboration, estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms • Focus on water-loss claims • Provide compassionate, clear, and empathetic customer service to policyholders • Independently investigate claims and interpret policies to determine coverage • Communicate with customers by phone, email, and video chat • Offer customers communication preferences and keep them updated on claim progress • Evaluate and negotiate settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants • Apply legal and business-standard methodologies and negotiation tactics in challenging situations • Use critical thinking and multiple tools in a fast-paced environment • Execute policies according to policy agreements • Maintain clear, timely, and accurate claim documentation in the claims system • Attend approximately two weeks of training in Dallas, TX

🎯 Requirements

• Residency within the posted location, USA - VA, is mandatory • 2 years' previous experience as an outside adjuster is highly desired • Previous experience as an outside adjuster is highly desired • Proficiency in Xactimate and other relevant estimating software • Strong critical thinking and technical skills to assess damages accurately and expedite claim settlements • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to travel to customers' homes and handle virtual claims countrywide • Detail-oriented and organized • Willingness and ability to carry a 50-pound ladder • Ability to access up to a 6/12 pitch on a one- to two-story roof • Valid driver's license • Willingness to travel • Must attend approximately two weeks of training in Dallas, TX • May be required to obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire, if applicable • Background investigation required • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position • Dedicated private home workspace free from distractions with appropriate desk and seating • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload • Position unavailable to California, Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico residents
