📋 Description

• Represent insured individuals and the Company in the defense of bodily injury and property damage lawsuits • Prepare for and conduct trials, hearings, mediations, depositions, and examinations under oath • Prepare lay and expert witnesses and clients for depositions, mediations, and trials • Conduct court appearances, including matter management conferences, hearings, and status conferences • Assist colleagues in resolving calendar conflicts • Keep claim business partners updated on case status • Contact clients to discuss their cases and answer questions • Review new file assignments and documentary evidence • Draft initial pleadings, propound discovery, and develop case strategy • Try and/or arbitrate cases, preparing motions in limine, jury instructions, trial briefs, and summary documents • Draft post-trial motions as needed • Provide counsel to business clients and coordinate between legal teams • Monitor new laws and regulations

🎯 Requirements

• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Required) • Juris Doctor (Required) • 5 or more years of experience (Preferred) • Documentation Review • Evidence Gathering • Legal Consulting • Legal Research • Legal Writing • Litigation • Prioritization • Strategic Management • Working Independently • Required to submit to a background investigation • Must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions, along with appropriate desk and seating • Reliable internet required, with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
