📋 Description

• Travel to customers' homes to conduct on-site property inspections • Investigate coverage and review property damage • Prepare estimates and settle claims promptly and efficiently • Handle virtual claims countrywide using platforms including Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration • Focus on water-loss claims • Provide compassionate, clear, and customer-centered service • Communicate with customers by phone, email, and video chat according to their communication preferences • Evaluate and negotiate claim settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants • Apply negotiation tactics to challenging and complex situations • Use estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms to resolve claims • Execute policies according to policy agreements • Maintain clear claims-system records and complete timely, accurate documentation

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience writing water damage estimates preferred • Previous experience as a property adjuster preferred • Proficiency in estimating software such as Xactimate preferred • Strong focus on exceptional customer service • Ability to work independently from home and travel to different locations • Proactive problem-solving skills and a positive attitude toward challenges • Excellent organization and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills • Willingness and ability to carry a 50-pound ladder and access up to a 6/12 pitch on a one- to two-story roof • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel • Must reside within 50 miles of an airport • Must terminate existing insurance appointments before onboarding and hold no outside appointments during employment if currently licensed • Resident producer license holders seeking an adjuster role must surrender that license when instructed • Must complete a background investigation • Must obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire if required by the office/area • Dedicated private workspace free from distractions when working from home • Appropriate desk and seating • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
