Allswell is an online, LGBTQ+ affirming mental health provider (Allswell Health PBC) that delivers trauma-informed individual therapy and peer group programs via video. It pairs licensed, rigorously trained therapists who are members of or experienced with the LGBTQ+ community with evidence-based approaches (eg, CBT, CPT, EMDR) and skills-building groups to treat identity-based trauma and related conditions. Allswell accepts Medicaid and many commercial insurance plans (and offers cash-pay options), uses HIPAA-compliant records, and currently serves Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia while expanding to more states.

📋 Description

• Develop SOPs, clinical protocols, and workflows for medication management before seeing clients • Build the prescribing side of the practice from scratch • Prescribe medications aligned with identity-affirming care for LGBTQIA+ clients • Conduct clinical assessments • Maintain timely, HIPAA-compliant documentation in the Avon EMR • Work with clinical leadership to improve protocols and the care model • Use client-care insights to continuously iterate and improve the model • Educate clients on the science, safety, and experience of mental health care • Deliver affirming, trauma-informed care and build therapeutic rapport • Collaborate with therapists to integrate medication management with individual therapy and evidence-based trauma treatment • Report to the Clinical Director and Medical Director

🎯 Requirements

• Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with active DEA registration and full practice authority in Virginia • Experience and strong passion for working with LGBTQIA+ clients • Sound knowledge and experience prescribing and adjusting medications across clinical indications, client demographics, and acuity levels • Cultural competence delivering affirming, identity-centered care • Comfortable working in a 100% remote, telehealth setting • Skilled in clinical assessment and timely, HIPAA-compliant documentation • Experience building psychiatric SOPs from the ground up • Experience serving clients at the intersections of the LGBTQIA+ community, including BIPOC and neurodivergent clients • Familiarity with how medications and psychotherapy work together • Comfort with outcomes-based, measurement-informed care • Dual license across Virginia and Maryland highly preferred
