📋 Description

• Triage and respond to security alerts and incidents across on-premises and multi-cloud enterprise and product environments • Lead in-depth investigations using SIEM, EDR, cloud audit logs, identity telemetry, and network data • Determine incident scope, root cause, attacker TTPs, and business impact • Lead incident communications, including severity updates, stakeholder coordination, and executive-ready summaries • Execute containment and remediation coordination with IT, Cloud/Platform, and Engineering teams • Produce incident documentation covering timelines, evidence, hypotheses, IOCs, actions taken, and lessons learned • Conduct hypothesis-driven threat hunts mapped to MITRE ATT&CK • Translate hunt findings into detections, tuning, playbooks, and telemetry recommendations • Develop, tune, and maintain detection content and SIEM analytics • Validate detections through testing and retrospective analysis • Define and maintain monitoring and detection use cases with stakeholders • Perform endpoint and/or cloud forensics and preserve evidence • Support malware triage and artifact analysis • Investigate cloud threats and anomalies using AWS, Azure, and GCP security signals and audit telemetry • Partner with Cloud/Platform teams to address logging, retention, and telemetry gaps • Participate in an on-call rotation providing 24x7 incident response coverage • Serve as an escalation point for high-severity events

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience/training) • 4+ years of relevant security operations / incident response experience • Strong understanding of the security incident management lifecycle and operational response practices • Strong experience with SIEM/log management platforms, such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, ELK, Snowflake-based analytics, or similar • Ability to query and analyze security telemetry • Ability to analyze and interpret security event logs, system logs, application logs, cloud logs, and device logs • Hands-on investigation experience using AWS Security Hub, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Google Security Command Center, and cloud logs • Experience with Python, PowerShell, or shell scripting • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ticket documentation, incident reporting, and stakeholder updates • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Preferred depth in forensics, threat hunting, or detection engineering • Ability to comply with U.S. export controls
