📋 Description

• Provide compassionate guidance and support to individuals contacting the nationwide 24/7 Helpline in Spanish and English • Apply Solution-Focused Brief Therapy techniques in short-term, goal-oriented consultations • Establish rapport, assess situations, collaborate with constituents, and determine interventions and resources • Educate constituents about Alzheimer’s disease, related dementias, disease progression, and caregiving needs • Normalize experiences and reduce stigma through clear, compassionate communication • Connect constituents with education, support, local community resources, and emergency/crisis services • Document presenting concerns, goals, interventions, and action plans accurately and efficiently • Handle emotional distress, trauma, and grief calmly and empathetically • Follow Helpline/Care Consultation policies, procedures, business rules, and clinical protocols • Uphold client confidentiality • Participate in new-hire and ongoing training and apply new knowledge to daily work • Provide culturally responsive bilingual English/Spanish support and guidance • Report to the Team Lead

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling • 1 year of required experience • Bilingual English/Spanish skills required • Ability to utilize Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) techniques or other clinical modalities within a brief interaction • Experience in active listening, clinical assessment, empathy, collaboration, goal setting, and developing action plans • Ability to handle emotionally intense interactions involving trauma, abuse, suicidal or homicidal ideations • Strong general computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems and databases • Ability to troubleshoot minor technology issues and independently set up and maintain remote work equipment • High attention to detail and effective time management • Familiarity with healthcare, mental health, aging and disability services, and Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias • Real-time verbal and written translation skills for Spanish-speaking individuals and families • Demonstrated cultural sensitivity when engaging with Spanish-speaking constituents • Home office with a desk, chair, and private confidential workspace without distractions • Hard-wired internet connection meeting speed requirements
