📋 Description

• Guide students and families in course selection aligned with academic goals, graduation requirements, and postsecondary plans • Create and manage individualized academic plans for K–12 students • Monitor graduation progress through credit checks and transcript reviews • Support academic interventions, schedule changes, and retention planning • Coordinate dual credit/dual enrollment participation and higher-education partnerships • Maintain transcripts, GPA calculations, class rankings, and academic records • Process transcript requests and credit transfers in accordance with FERPA • Collaborate with enrollment and registrar teams on course placements and schedules • Provide short-term counseling and referrals for academic, social-emotional, and personal development needs • Identify at-risk students and implement intervention plans with support staff • Facilitate guidance lessons and workshops • Support college planning, scholarships, SAT/ACT, ASVAB, AP, career exploration, applications, FAFSA, and personal statements • Coordinate virtual college fairs, career panels, and readiness events • Collaborate with academic coaches, learning specialists, teachers, and family support teams • Ensure compliance with internal policies, accreditation standards, FERPA, and confidentiality regulations • Document counseling sessions, interventions, and family communications in the school’s SIS or CRM • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree in School Counseling, Education or related field • Valid state of Texas certification/licensure as a K–12 School Counselor • Minimum 2 years of experience in education • Deep understanding of academic advising, course planning, transcripts, GPA, and postsecondary readiness • Experience working with diverse student populations • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in a remote setting • Comfortable using Google Workspace, Zoom/Google Meet, TEAMS, and LMS/SIS systems • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. • Employer is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa • English (United States)
