📋 Description

• Lead all aspects of Blow Molding tooling, process development, validation, and qualification activities across Amcor manufacturing operations • Manage tooling projects from concept and quoting through implementation • Participate in business development requests and tooling and machine bottle quotation activities • Define, document, and manage ISBM tooling project scope and requirements • Coordinate mold design and construction with tooling vendors • Obtain tooling quotations, evaluate vendor proposals, develop bills of material, and manage tooling procurement • Review and approve tooling designs, assembly drawings, and CAD models • Track vendor performance, project timelines, tooling quality, and delivery schedules • Lead mold sampling, process qualification, and validation activities • Optimize molding processes and establish validated baseline processes • Support machine startups and troubleshoot process, machine, tooling, quality, and productivity issues • Perform process capability studies, statistical analysis, Design of Experiments, and validation testing • Recommend tooling modifications and process improvements based on engineering studies and production data • Develop and communicate engineering standards, specifications, best practices, and technical documentation • Support R&D, Innovation, Commercial, Operations, and Quality initiatives • Train plant personnel on machine processing, tooling systems, troubleshooting, and operational best practices • Mentor process technicians, engineers, quality personnel, and operations teams • Report to the Tooling Director

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or related technical discipline required • Equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience may be considered • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in plastics packaging manufacturing, process engineering, tooling engineering, or related field • Minimum 2 years of project management experience preferred • Experience working with Injection Stretch Blow Molding (ISBM) tooling and vendors required • Experience with mold qualification, validation, process optimization, and troubleshooting required • PET packaging industry experience strongly preferred • Experience conducting process capability studies, DOE, and statistical analysis preferred • Experience supporting production startup and manufacturing operations strongly preferred • Knowledge of Blow Molding machinery, process, tooling, container handling equipment, and downstream systems • Understanding of mold design, hot runner systems, and tooling functionality • Experience with CAD software and engineering drawings • Familiarity with SAP, Windchill, Salesforce, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Excel • Knowledge of SPC, validation methodology, and quality systems beneficial • Working knowledge of hydraulic systems, process controls, machine functionality, and automation systems preferred
