📋 Description

• Prepares cost and price proposals of simple to medium complexity utilizing the principles of cost accounting standards and the Company’s Estimating System under general supervision from senior pricing personnel • Interfaces with Operations, Business Development and Functional Support groups to obtain/develop data necessary for developing prices or other components of a cost/price volume • Ensures compliance with the estimating system manual as well as other policies and procedures • Performs quality assurance reviews to ensure that cost/price volume components are accurate and responsive to solicitation requirements • Provides pricing guidance and support, as required, to field personnel performing pricing related activities • Capable of building accurate cost models based on provided guidelines and requirements, as well as modifying and updating existing templates to meet specific objectives and desired outcomes • Provide training and guidance to junior pricing team members as required while fostering collaboration with senior-level pricing professionals to ensure best practices and optimal outcomes.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline • Three (3) years’ experience in cost proposal preparation or cost proposal development; relevant finance experience may be considered for some years in lieu of cost proposal preparation and development • Basic understanding of proposal development with a working knowledge of the components of basis of estimates (BOE) and bills of materials (BOM) • Strong proficiency in Excel and mathematical skills • Strong analytical skills • Must be an effective communicator within various levels of the organization.
