• Lead and manage end-to-end execution of DDC control system projects from initiation through closeout • Define project requirements, goals, deliverables, and comprehensive project plans with clients and stakeholders • Coordinate cross-functional teams including controls engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and vendors • Develop and manage project budgets, expenses, schedules, resources, and cost controls • Monitor project progress, critical path activities, risks, and issues • Serve as the main client contact and manage project communication and expectations • Lead kick-off, progress review, and closeout meetings • Conduct project site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and provide technical guidance • Manage change orders and secure client approvals • Maintain project documentation and records throughout the project lifecycle • Support pre-sales activities with technical expertise, project scoping, and cost estimations • Stay current with DDC controls, building automation, and project management practices • Conduct lessons-learned sessions and implement process improvements • Mentor junior project management staff • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered • Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on project management experience in DDC control systems for commercial buildings • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites as required • Strong controls engineering background and understanding of building automation systems, DDC controls, and related protocols • Experience managing complex DDC control system projects through planning, execution, and closeout • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional project teams • Project management skills covering plans, budgets, schedules, and resources • Strong client management and customer satisfaction skills • Proficiency with project management software and tools for scheduling, cost control, and document management • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including communication of complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Professional project management certifications such as PMP are highly desirable
