📋 Description

• Prepare Site-Specific Safety Plans and Activity Hazard Analyses for assigned Business Unit projects • Ensure compliance with safety policies and adopted standards • Verify personal protective equipment meets applicable EM 385-1-1 requirements and ensure employees are trained in proper use • Conduct safety audits, project safety inspections, and follow-up inspections • Provide safety training for all personnel assigned to the project • Review subcontractor safety qualifications and attend pre-construction meetings • Create and evaluate activity hazard reviews • Conduct regulatory compliance activities and accident and incident investigations • Develop and implement Corrective Action Plans • Work with project supervision to create solutions to safety problems • Foster and maintain a positive safety culture • Maintain safety certifications required by contracts • Conduct quarterly safety meetings for project staff • Produce safety reports • Lead incident and accident investigations • Perform other duties as required

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. Degree in Occupational Safety & Health Engineering or similar field • Minimum of 5 years construction industry safety experience on similar projects • Ability to effectively communicate safety within a project team • An average of at least 24 hours of formal safety training each year for the past 5 years • Competent person status training in excavation, scaffolding, fall protection, hazardous energy, confined space, and health hazard recognition, evaluation and control of chemical, physical and biological agents • Construction Health and Safety Technician Certification • EM385-1-1 40-Hr. Safety Certification • Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification • Current First Aid & CPR Certification • NFPA 70E certification for flash training • CQC Certification • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills • Proven experience in OSHA compliance • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Excellent writing skills with proper grammar • Ability to travel frequently
