📋 Description

• Prepare Site-Specific Safety Plans and Activity Hazard Analyses for assigned Business Unit projects • Ensure compliance with safety policies and adopted standards • Ensure personal protective equipment meets applicable OSHA/EPA requirements and employees are trained in proper use • Conduct safety audits of assigned project sites • Provide safety training for all personnel assigned to projects • Conduct project safety inspections and follow up on open items • Review subcontractor safety qualifications and attend pre-construction meetings • Create and evaluate activity hazard reviews • Maintain regulatory compliance with OSHA and Ameresco standards • Conduct accident and incident investigations • Develop and implement Corrective Action Plans • Work with project supervision to create safety solutions • Foster and maintain a positive safety culture • Maintain safety certifications required by contracts • Conduct quarterly safety meetings for project staff • Produce safety reports • Maintain a positive work atmosphere with customers, co-workers, supervisors, and management • Lead incident and accident investigations • Perform other duties as required

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health, Engineering or related discipline OR a minimum of 5 years related experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, in addition to a high school diploma or equivalent • Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial, government, or industrial safety management • EM-385 Certification • Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, OSHA, 30-hour Construction Safety and industry • Experience developing, implementing, and managing Accident Prevention Plans (APPs) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) • Ability to review confidential US security information • Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification • Ability to manage positive and effective interpersonal, functional, and organizational relationships • Excellent verbal, written, computer communication, and presentation skills • Current CHST, CSP, ASP, CSHO, or equivalent professional safety certification • Experience working under USACE, NAVFAC, AFCEC, or other Department of Defense construction contracts • Experience with electronic safety management systems and digital reporting • Valid driver license issued by state of residence and in good standing • Ability to travel and provide on-call response
