📋 Description

• Maintain a strong academic presence and pursue professional development in teaching, scholarly or creative works, and service • Report and work directly under the department chair's leadership • Interact directly with students in an appropriate, professional manner • Facilitate a safe and productive online learning environment • Respond promptly to student requests and contact inactive students as needed • Review course functionality and content to ensure high-quality delivery • Enhance course content with personal experience, insights, and professional knowledge • Monitor assignments and provide appropriate student feedback • Synthesize and report student performance data • Support program and institutional policies, procedures, and guidelines • Aid student learning of ethical conduct related to plagiarism and copyright infringement • Direct students to supplemental resources • Collaborate with colleagues and college leadership, including attending required meetings • Promote the college's vision, mission, and culture • Provide leadership within one's sphere of influence • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, seminars, publications, networks, and professional societies • Maintain knowledge of emerging departmental issues and trends • Support and promote research to ensure program and course quality • Communicate with students and ACE employees in real time using online and electronic media

🎯 Requirements

• Earned terminal degree(s) in a field associated with the department • Active Principal or Superintendent License • K12 principal experience and current principal license • 1+ year of experience in teaching and leadership in a formal educational setting • Experience using traditional and non-traditional teaching formats • Higher education teaching experience strongly preferred • Demonstrated experience developing online/virtual professional relationships • Evidence of professional research and/or creative endeavors and expertise in the field • Exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and collaboratively with department personnel • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines • Minimum 50 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload internet speeds at the remote work location • Must support and embrace the College's Impact mission • Candidates cannot reside in Alaska, Washington D.C., Massachusetts, South Dakota, or Alabama
