📋 Description

• Maintain a strong academic presence and pursue professional development in teaching, scholarly or creative works, and service • Report and work directly under the department chair • Interact directly with students in a professional manner • Facilitate a safe and productive learning environment • Respond promptly to student requests and contact inactive students as needed • Review course functionality and content to ensure high-quality delivery • Enhance course content with personal experience, insights, and professional knowledge • Monitor and provide feedback on assignments • Synthesize and report student performance data • Support program and institutional policies, procedures, and guidelines • Address ethical conduct, plagiarism, and copyright issues and report infractions appropriately • Direct students to supplemental resources • Collaborate with colleagues and college leadership, including attending required meetings • Promote the college vision, mission, and culture • Provide leadership within the individual sphere of influence • Participate in workshops, seminars, professional publications, networks, and professional societies • Maintain knowledge of emerging issues and trends related to the department • Support and promote research to ensure program and course quality • Communicate with students and employees in real time using online and electronic media

🎯 Requirements

• Earned terminal degree(s) in a field associated with the department • Minimum 5+ years in a leadership role leading others • Minimum 3 peer-reviewed professional publications and presentations • 1+ year(s) experience in teaching and leadership in a formal educational setting • Higher education teaching experience strongly preferred • Experience using both traditional and non-traditional teaching formats • Demonstrated experience developing online/virtual professional relationships • Evidence of professional research and/or creative endeavors and expertise in the field • Exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and collaboratively with department personnel • Must support and embrace the College's Impact mission • Minimum internet bandwidth of 50 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload from the remote work location • Reliable internet service, with purchase, setup, installation, support, and maintenance the individual's responsibility • Candidates cannot reside in Alaska, Washington D.C., Massachusetts, South Dakota, or Alabama
