📋 Description

• Deliver online lessons to undergraduate and/or graduate students • Initiate, facilitate, interact with, and moderate online classrooms to support student engagement • Comply with APU/AMU guidelines and expectations for quality online faculty engagement • Evaluate and grade class work, assignments, and papers within policy timelines • Provide effective feedback to guide student learning and success • Engage in the classroom and reply to emails at least every other day, including one weekend day • Remain aware of classroom procedures and use instructional materials • Participate in professional development to enhance teaching skills and online learning strategies • Collaborate with faculty members and Department Chairs on program and course continuity, currency, relevance, and curriculum intent • Help develop and maintain instructional standards and policies aligned with accreditation and certification requirements • Conduct scholarly research and maintain current knowledge in the field • Participate in professional organizations and conferences • Attend school and discipline meetings • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Doctoral degree in Nursing or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution is required • A related Doctoral degree may be considered if the candidate possesses a master's degree in Nursing • An active unencumbered compact nursing license is required • Candidate must be willing to obtain additional state licenses as needed • Five or more years of teaching experience is required • Online college-level teaching experience is highly preferred • Five or more years of experience in a nursing field is required • Military or VA Nursing experience is preferred • Research experience is preferred • CNE certification is preferred • Complete the Engaging the First-Year Student Certification course (APUS110) within six months of hire • Graduate Faculty must complete the Graduate Faculty Certification (APUS501) within 90 days of hire • Applicants with degrees from foreign institutions require a course-by-course evaluation by a NACES-approved agency • Full-time faculty may not be full-time employees of another university, school, college, or institution of higher education • Upload a CV and unofficial transcripts, master's degree, and doctorate when applying
