📋 Description

• Provide advanced clinical support to the Parenteral Services team and serve as a clinical resource for nurses and multidisciplinary staff • Support nursing plans of care, clinical decision-making, complex patient management, vascular access, infusion complications, and laboratory monitoring • Assist with hospital-to-home patient transitions and participate in multidisciplinary case reviews • Provide education to nurses and support urgent clinical questions during business hours and after-hours support as assigned • Coordinate with Staffing Coordinators, Laboratory Coordinators, Pharmacists, Dietitians, and the RN Supervisor • Assist with high-risk Start of Care planning, workflow monitoring, clinical prioritization, and weekend/holiday readiness • Support care coordination for patients experiencing clinical complications • Promote compliance with company policies and regulatory standards • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, incident reviews, corrective actions, and implementation of clinical protocols • Review documentation for clinical completeness and consistency and identify workflow improvement opportunities • Reinforce patient education regarding TPN administration, line care, medication storage, infection prevention, and infusion equipment troubleshooting • Support patient concerns and continuity of care during therapy changes • Perform additional departmental duties as assigned and foster accountability, integrity, collaboration, and service excellence

🎯 Requirements

• Strong knowledge of TPN preparation, administration, equipment use, line complication management, and infection control practices • Expertise in TPN laboratory monitoring guidelines and clinical parameters • Proficiency in using, managing, and troubleshooting Central Lines, PICC lines, and implanted ports • Strong leadership and mentorship skills • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and other digital tools • Valid driver’s license with ability to travel within assigned territory • Certification in Nutrition Support (CNSC) is highly desirable • Experience in home infusion nursing and patient education is preferred • Familiarity with AmeriPharma Pharmacy Specialty Infusion Services guidelines is preferred • Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 30 pounds
