📋 Description

• Lead planning and delivery of global congresses within an assigned therapeutic area • Translate therapeutic area priorities into actionable congress plans • Align internal teams and agency partners around clear outcomes • Manage scope, timelines, governance, risk management, operational readiness, and delivery quality • Partner with and guide Execution Leads responsible for day-to-day activities • Align with the Therapeutic Area Lead on strategic direction, resource decisions, and congress outcomes • Execute congress scope, goals, and deliverables aligned with business and therapeutic area objectives • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and communication documents • Align cross-functional stakeholders from initiation through completion • Monitor progress, critical paths, risks, issues, and dependencies; implement mitigation and contingency plans • Provide end-to-end oversight of congress planning and execution • Drive cross-functional teams to meet milestones and ensure timely delivery • Oversee governance and execution quality across all phases • Ensure readiness across materials, staffing, and operational plans • Serve as primary point of contact for internal teams and external agencies • Coordinate marketing, medical, regulatory, legal, operations, and other cross-functional teams • Establish and manage communication cadence, status reports, and stakeholder updates • Ensure congress materials receive medical, legal, regulatory, and Veeva approvals • Partner with brand and medical teams to ensure deliverable quality and accuracy • Estimate resource needs, including budget, and coordinate internal and external support • Track actual spend and identify or escalate budget, capacity, and scope risks • Improve processes, tools, tracking, and reporting for efficiency, consistency, and scalability

🎯 Requirements

• Doctorate degree; OR Master’s degree and 2 years of Project Management experience and/or Congress Planning experience; OR Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Project Management and/or Congress Planning experience; OR Associate’s degree and 8 years of Project Management and/or Congress Planning experience; OR High school diploma/GED and 10 years of Project Management and/or Congress Planning experience • Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or a related field required • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, congress planning, or events • Experience leading complex, cross functional initiatives required • Pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience preferred • Strong project management and execution capabilities • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Strong stakeholder management and cross functional collaboration skills • Knowledge of content approval and compliance processes, including tools such as Veeva PromoMats and C3 • Proficiency with project management tools and software programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Strong attention to detail and follow through • Strong communication and problem-solving skills • Comfort managing ambiguity and changing priorities • Demonstrates initiative, curiosity, and a commitment to learning • Sponsorship for this role is not guaranteed
