📋 Description

• Interact with cardiometabolic opinion leaders and healthcare decision-makers to communicate and advance Amgen’s scientific platform • Engage healthcare partners to educate and communicate clinical and scientific data • Educate and communicate clinical value, outcomes, and economic data to payers, providers, key partners, advocacy, and access enablers • Provide clinical and economic support to payers, IDNs, and formulary committees • Share customer trends and insights with internal collaborators • Respond to unsolicited inquiries according to MSL compliance standards • Provide field observations and insights to internal collaborators • Implement scientific engagement plans according to annual MSL goals and metrics • Develop and implement local opinion-leader plans • Support speaker training and keep speakers updated on new data • Support Amgen-sponsored research and potentially serve as a study lead • Educate potential investigators on investigator-sponsored study submissions • Lead or participate in project teams supporting MSL strategies and tactics • Lead and support congress activities, potentially serving as congress lead • Collaborate compliantly with cross-functional colleagues, potentially serving as main point of contact • Maintain clinical expertise and complete assigned training • Potentially serve as training lead, new-hire mentor, and/or international MSL mentor or trainer • Advance the MSL value proposition and achieve results while demonstrating Amgen values and leadership attributes • Demonstrate tact and professionalism in communications and interactions

🎯 Requirements

• Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree & 3 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Bachelor’s degree & 5 years of Medical Affairs experience • Pharm. D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. preferred; other doctoral degrees are considered • Two years of industry experience in Scientific or Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company • 2 years in a Medical Science Liaison role • Two or more years focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research • Experience in a medically related field can include post-doctoral training, residencies, and/or fellowships • Cardio-metabolic expertise preferred • Sponsorship for this role is not guaranteed
