• Provide clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals and help them navigate the complex payer environment • Act as the primary customer contact • Implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products as led by the District Manager • Communicate current and comprehensive product knowledge and clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization • Achieve territory sales through branded sales messages, planned programs, medical educational programs, and in-person and virtual engagement • Develop and manage customer accounts based on customer needs • Ensure product access, resolve or triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts • Provide feedback on marketing strategy and analyze sales activity and territory performance • Develop territory plans with the District Manager • Share best practices and continuously learn and grow with colleagues • Build the brand throughout the sales cycle while keeping patient impact at the forefront • Uphold Amgen values and collaborate, communicate, and remain accountable
• Specialty Representative: Bachelor's Degree OR Associate's degree and 4 years of Sales experience OR High school diploma/GED and 6 years of Sales experience • Senior Specialty Representative: Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related • Three or more years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry (preferred) • Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology or infectious diseases (preferred) • Local market knowledge (preferred) • Established relationships in the territory (preferred) • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration (preferred) • Adaptability with core competencies including Planning and Organizing; Leveraging Business, Industry, and Technical Knowledge; Communicating with Impact; Driving for Results; and Cultivating Internal and External Relationships • Sponsorship for this role is not guaranteed
