📋 Description
• Partner with district and school leaders to strengthen literacy instruction through job-embedded coaching, professional learning, and data-informed instructional support • Support successful implementation of Amplify literacy programs by building educator capacity, improving instructional practices, and driving positive student outcomes • Tailor coaching strategies to district priorities and evolving implementation needs • Provide recommendations to school leadership to enhance learning outcomes and equity for diverse student populations • Lead classroom observations and provide coaching and feedback to teachers and leaders • Facilitate PLCs and office-hour consultations • Support data analysis and instructional planning • Analyze student work and formative assessment data • Cultivate model classrooms and capture exemplar instructional practices • Seek and incorporate feedback to continuously improve coaching practice • Create or customize professional development experiences • Facilitate district-wide professional development sessions virtually and in person • Support broader Professional Development initiatives during district closures, breaks, or other periods when Amplify remains open • Deliver sessions throughout the country based on business needs and during school closures or if the contract terminates early
🎯 Requirements
• Passion for literacy and deep knowledge of structured literacy • Experience leading sustained coaching engagements and professional development for educators in K-5 or 6-8 • 5+ years of K-5 or 6-8 ELA teaching experience, leading to demonstrable results for students • Experience working on collaborative projects with leaders and teachers • Experience analyzing data and using it to inform practice • Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines • Strong oral and written communication skills • Proficiency with technology-based productivity tools, mainly Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet, etc.) • Ability to travel locally up to 4 days per week across the Grand Ledge Public Schools area • Permitted to work in the United States and resident in the United States • Valid U.S. driver’s license • Must reside within 30 miles of Grand Ledge Public Schools • Reliable home internet supporting video calls on Google Meet and Zoom • Quiet, professional place to deliver remote professional development • Background check required if selected • Preferred: experience using or supporting Amplify CKLA • Preferred: 10+ years of K-5 or 6-8 teaching and leadership experience • Preferred: ability to support educators in a remote learning environment • Preferred: master's degree in Education or related field
