📋 Description

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Bond Specialists through direction, mentorship, training, and feedback • Establish performance expectations, monitor results, and hold team members accountable for operational, compliance, quality, and service objectives • Manage workloads and resources for timely, accurate, and compliant processing of bonds, POAs, and related documentation • Maintain knowledge of customs regulations, bond requirements, importer identity verification standards, POA requirements, and regulatory obligations • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and internal controls • Review and approve POA intake documentation, powers of attorney, and supporting documentation • Review and approve enhanced due diligence documentation for nonresident importers of record • Oversee business legitimacy reviews, importer identity verification, and restricted party screening • Conduct audits and quality reviews of bonds, POAs, importer verification, and recordkeeping • Monitor productivity, quality, and service metrics and improve operational effectiveness • Serve as an escalation point for clients and resolve complex issues • Manage relationships with surety providers and external partners • Coordinate POA renewals for timely compliance and uninterrupted client service

🎯 Requirements

• Active U.S. Customs Broker License required • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Customs Compliance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered • Minimum 5 years of experience in customs brokerage, trade compliance, bond administration, or related regulatory environment • Minimum 2 years of experience leading, supervising, or managing colleagues in a compliance-focused operational environment • Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations, powers of attorney, importer identity verification, bond administration, and recordkeeping • Experience interpreting and applying regulatory requirements while balancing operational and customer service needs • Proficiency with customs brokerage systems, Microsoft Office, and document management platforms • Experience supervising bond, POA, compliance, or brokerage operations teams preferred • Knowledge of nonresident importer requirements and enhanced due diligence processes preferred • Experience working with surety companies and bond underwriting processes preferred • Experience leading audits, quality assurance reviews, process improvements, or compliance initiatives preferred • Proven ability to lead, coach, motivate, and develop colleagues • Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, analytical, auditing, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills • Ability to interpret regulations, assess risk, make sound business decisions, handle escalated client concerns, maintain confidentiality, and manage multiple priorities
