📋 Description

• Serve as the customer service liaison between the company and customers • Resolve billing, shipment tracking, and other customer concerns • Build customer relationships • Process Customs and PGA entries for clearance of goods into the United States • Open files and enter notes, information, and document requests in corporate systems • Review commercial invoices and documentation for regulatory and carrier compliance • Convert and verify shipment weight, volume, and foreign currency • Request information and documents from employees, suppliers, service providers, and U.S. government agencies • Communicate with offices, departments, and teams regarding customs brokerage issues • Ensure compliance with U.S. Government regulatory agencies • Coordinate shipping details with forwarders, steamship lines, airlines, agents, customers, carriers, and vendors • Coordinate shipments from airline, ocean piers, and CFS to customer or consignee destinations • Coordinate pickups and invoice files • Stay current on regulations, laws, guidelines, and company requirements • Act as a resource to internal and external clients • Handle accounting processes • Respond promptly and professionally to email and telephone calls • Make recommendations to improve processes and department or company operations • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma/GED • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 • Monday through Friday availability, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time • Participation in an on-call rotation, with responsibility for one weekend day approximately every few weeks • Ability to process Customs and PGA entries for clearance of goods into the United States • Knowledge of client submission requirements and clearance of specific commodities • Knowledge of U.S. Government regulatory agencies such as FDA, EPA, and USFWS • Ability to handle accounting processes accurately and promptly • Ability to handle confidential information • Ability to work independently, multitask, establish priorities, and meet deadlines • Strong analytical, customer service, interpersonal, motivation, problem-solving, and work standards competencies
