Animals Asia is a non-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to ending bear bile farming and improving the welfare of animals across Asia. For over 25 years it has rescued hundreds of bears and other animals, operated award-winning sanctuaries, and pursues change through rescue, veterinary care, education, advocacy and government partnership. The charity focuses on ending cruelty (notably bear bile farming and the dog meat trade), restoring animals' lives at sanctuaries, and campaigning for policy and public behaviour change across the region.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs that promote animal sentience and welfare. • Build strategic partnerships, manage staff and volunteers, and oversee curricula for diverse audiences. • Measure program impact and drive positive outcomes for animals and people. • Develop and implement a comprehensive education strategy aligned with organizational mission and goals. • Create and maintain age-appropriate programs for children, teens, adults, and professional audiences. • Establish partnerships with universities, schools, community groups, animal shelters, veterinarians, and government agencies. • Coordinate outreach events, community workshops, and public awareness campaigns. • Oversee program budgets, grants, contracts, and resource allocation related to education & training initiatives. • Develop evaluation metrics, collect data, and produce reports demonstrating program impact, effectiveness and outcomes.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Animal Science, Biology, Nonprofit Management, or related field; Master’s preferred. • Minimum 5 years of experience in education, program development, or outreach, preferably within animal welfare, humane societies, shelters, or related nonprofits. • Demonstrated experience managing teams, budgets, and collaborative partnerships. • Experience designing curricula and evaluation frameworks for diverse audiences. • Strong knowledge of animal behavior, welfare issues, and community-based education best practices. • Excellent written and verbal communication, public speaking, and presentation skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, learning management systems, virtual presentation platforms, and data collection/reporting tools. • Grant writing and fundraising experience is a plus.
