📋 Description

• Serve as a key contributor to the patient support program for Purified Cortrophin Gel • Partner in product access, focusing on patient support, access, reimbursement, prior authorization, appeals, financial assistance, and related business issues • Communicate with the case management team conducting benefit investigations • Educate healthcare providers on prior authorization and appeal processes • Coordinate other patient services • Report to a director on the field reimbursement team for development and mentoring • Educate healthcare providers on insurance requirements for patients’ prescriptions • Work with Hub case managers and in-network specialty pharmacies on prior authorization requirements and communication with healthcare providers and patients • Coordinate communication and activities with Nurse Access Specialist colleagues • Facilitate patient assistance, including copay and free-goods support when applicable • Partner with managed care colleagues to understand policies and highlight new trends • Collaborate with sales colleagues when appropriate and as directed by Compliance policies

🎯 Requirements

• Relevant post-secondary education or applicable certifications • 3-4 years of experience working with specialty medications, either in pharma, at a provider’s office, or with an insurance payer • Demonstrated expertise with both pharmacy and medical benefits in a specialty disease market • Ability to travel up to 25% with some evening and weekend commitments • Familiarity with OIG guidance, HIPAA guidelines, and FDA protocols • Strong collaboration with Hub partners and cross-functional colleagues • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Problem-solving ability in challenging access scenarios • Sense of urgency to address critical access issues for patients • Initiative to move patient cases forward
