📋 Description

• Lead the renter experience across web, mobile web, and native iOS and Android • Own Core's coherence, quality, and direction • Balance maintenance of existing products with invention of new products • Set visual, interaction, and systems craft standards • Create patterns and standards for senior designers to calibrate against • Prototype AI-forward experiences in Cursor and Claude Code • Connect prototypes to actual components, variables, and tokens for engineering handoff • Make AI a default part of the design process and incorporate new tools • Establish a point of view on Core's product direction • Align senior product, engineering, and executive partners • Identify opportunities through qualitative and quantitative research and experiments • Mentor designers through critique, pairing, and example • Complete initiatives through resolution

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years designing digital products and owning ambiguous, cross-functional problems with minimal direction • Experience building with AI in real work • Shipped working prototypes or production code with tools such as Cursor or Claude Code • Ability to articulate what AI got right, where it fell short, and how it was validated • Shipped products on both web and native mobile • Mobile-first product thinking • Experience creating a framework, pattern library, starter kit, or standard adopted by other designers or teams • Figma fluency, including auto layout, components, variables, and systems • Demonstrable visual design, typography, interaction, and motion skills • Proactive ownership and follow-through • Nice to have: experience with a two-sided marketplace at real scale • Nice to have: direct C-suite partnership on product direction • Nice to have: a side project taken from idea to launch
