📋 Description

• Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate address verification and safety and well-being assessments to clients • Complete individualized safety assessments with attention to culture, language, and special circumstances • Apply a trauma-informed approach to help families build trust through safety, connection, and self-regulation • Maintain accurate records according to Applied Intellect and AI/ICE policies using the UAC Portal and internal software systems • Conduct long-distance, nationwide travel with limited notice • Provide information, education, referrals, resources, and support requested by clients • Assess placement safety and appropriateness using child welfare principles and social work best practices through interviews and home visits • Maintain confidentiality in all program areas, including youth information • Submit case notes, assessments, and reports promptly using ICE documentation software and Applied Intellect’s internal case-monitoring system • Coordinate and maintain communication with key stakeholders • Participate in training and communication sessions using Teams, Zoom, or other required platforms • Maintain professional and respectful interactions with children, coworkers, supervisors, ICE representatives, vendors, and community members • Report to the Field Supervisor

🎯 Requirements

• Must reside in the state of New York, preferably within driving distance of a major airport • Bachelor’s degree in social work, behavioral science, or social services with at least two years’ progressive experience in social services, case management, or child welfare • Experience in child welfare, child placements, family preservation, and social service provision is desired • Skilled at writing professional, thorough assessment reports • Extensive knowledge of immigrant community local resources is desired • Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Ability to prioritize duties in a fast-paced environment • Appropriate workspace for documentation, client phone calls, and video conferencing • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Teams • Ability to type and be computer literate • Comfortable using a tablet/iPad or laptop to complete daily assignments • Fluency in Spanish is preferred; additional languages are a plus • Commitment to comply with mandatory state reporting requirements for child abuse and neglect • Valid driver’s license, insurance, clean driving record, and reliable transportation, if required • Successful completion of DHS/ICE Preliminary Fitness Screening and Suitability Determination and federal background checks, if required • Ability to work cooperatively with a multi-disciplinary team • Ability to maintain a cooperative, respectful, and positive disposition • Possess or be able to obtain CPR and basic first aid certification • Demonstrated support of Applied Intellect’s values, confidentiality, and multicultural workplace • Must adhere to all state and federal laws and regulations • Must follow company and Federal Contract Requirement policies and procedures • Satisfactory completion of Applied Intellect’s Orientation and Training • Satisfactory completion of DHS/ICE-required training upon hire and annually • Manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity • Ability to perform repetitive motion and prolonged sitting and standing • Occasional lifting, bending, pulling, and carrying, including lifting up to 25 pounds • Quantitative/mathematical ability
