📋 Description

• Draft, revise, and finalize web content, including database entries, user manuals, and web pages • Coordinate content approvals with FHWA points of contact and external sources • Write and edit content for website, SharePoint, and Google Sites pages according to specified style guides • Upload, update, and post web content using Drupal, SharePoint, and Google Sites • Optimize text for search engine optimization and Section 508 accessibility • Design and prepare graphics optimized for web publishing • Coordinate and track quarterly content certifications • Identify and fix broken links and other web maintenance needs • Monitor web pages to ensure updates are posted on schedule • Recommend improvements in readability, organization, and navigation • Develop training materials and conduct in-person and virtual training on web content and database tools • Provide quality control for web content and database entries • Edit dropdown values, clean up data, and test new functionality

🎯 Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in web content management, with at least 3 years within the last 5 years • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline • Experience using content management systems such as Drupal, SharePoint, or Google Sites for web publishing and maintenance • Experience supporting complex projects and transformation efforts within the federal government • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. • Strategic, forward-looking approach to marketing trends and technologies • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills • Ability to manage competing deadlines • Comfortability supporting complex client relationships • Strong analytical and time-management skills • Ability to organize, prioritize, and work well with others • Ability to communicate thoughts, ideas, and solutions logically in writing and orally • Ability to stay calm under pressure and in a fast-paced environment • Ability to receive client feedback and implement changes quickly and effectively • Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues • Experience in the transportation sector, particularly highway or surface transportation research, is highly preferred
