📋 Description

• Serve as Commercial and Product Counsel and help scale contract review and legal operations • Work directly with customers as an extension of their in-house team • Build trusted customer relationships by understanding business priorities and proactively communicating • Review and negotiate commercial contracts • Advise on product and privacy matters for growing technology companies • Partner with legal and product teams to move contracts through efficiently and accurately • Interpret contract terms and surface obligations, risks, and anomalies • Operate internal tooling to streamline review • Partner with product and engineering to improve platform speed and accuracy • Identify and fix inefficiencies and patterns in the review process • Standardize and codify recurring contract types, review playbooks, and quality bars • Protect turnaround and SLA commitments • Partner with operations to evolve legal service delivery as the company scales • Document review playbooks and codify how Arceus reviews commercial contracts and advises on product matters

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. and active bar membership in good standing • 5–8 years of experience practicing law, with significant experience supporting technology companies • Experience as in-house counsel or as a sole legal counsel is required • Specialization in commercial, product, and privacy law • Deeply customer-first mindset: responsive, empathetic, low-ego, and committed to practical advice • Relentless process mindset • Experience with, or real excitement about, AI-assisted legal workflows • Comfortable in a fast-paced, ambiguous, high-ownership environment • Strong grounding in professional responsibility and legal ethics • Excellent written and verbal communication • Must be a licensed attorney in good standing • Must be licensed to practice in a U.S. state or jurisdiction • Must not require employer sponsorship for employment visa status
