📋 Description

• Own the design standards, reference architectures, and technology strategy for Arctiq's networking practice • Define and maintain reference architectures for LAN/WAN, firewall and security-edge, SD-WAN, wireless, and cloud networking interconnects • Establish and govern design standards and configuration patterns across managed services customer environments • Lead design reviews for complex or high-risk customer deployments • Develop and maintain a library of standard designs, build guides, and approved technology patterns • Define review and approval processes for non-standard designs and exceptions • Own the networking technology roadmap and evaluate emerging platforms, vendors, and technology investments • Assess and pilot new platforms including SD-WAN, SASE, and AI-driven network management • Serve as technical decision-maker for networking platform and vendor selections • Provide input to business cases for new networking service offerings • Partner with Solution Architects on complex and strategic pre-sales engagements • Review and validate customer solution designs before proposals • Support proof-of-concept and design workshops • Represent networking architecture capabilities in customer QBRs and technology roadmap discussions • Develop reusable proposal content, architecture diagrams, and technical narratives • Lead adoption of automation frameworks and AI-driven tooling for provisioning, configuration management, and performance monitoring • Eliminate manual delivery touchpoints through design-level automation • Drive adoption of AI-enabled anomaly detection and performance monitoring to reduce downtime and improve MTTR • Collaborate with practice technology leadership on automation investments across networking, compute, and security • Represent the networking practice in the monthly Services Governance Forum • Ensure architecture decisions and design patterns are documented, version-controlled, and accessible • Develop training and knowledge-transfer materials • Mentor engineers on design thinking, architecture principles, and standards adherence

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of networking engineering or architecture experience • At least 3 years in a design-focused or architecture role • Experience designing enterprise networking solutions at scale in multi-site, multi-vendor, hybrid cloud environments • Background in managed services, professional services, or consulting strongly preferred • Experience mentoring engineers or leading a technical team on standards and design quality • Expert-level knowledge of routing and switching, including Cisco and Juniper • Expert-level knowledge of security-edge technologies, including Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Check Point • Expert-level knowledge of SD-WAN, including Meraki, VeloCloud, and Fortinet Secure SD-WAN • Expert-level knowledge of wireless technologies, including Cisco, Aruba, and Meraki • Proficiency in cloud networking and interconnect architectures, including AWS Transit Gateway and Azure Virtual WAN • Experience with SASE frameworks such as Zscaler and Prisma Access, or equivalent • Experience with SDN architecture • Familiarity with AI-driven network management and automation platforms such as Cisco Catalyst Center, Aruba Central, and Auvik, or equivalent • Network automation experience with Ansible, Python-based configuration management, or equivalent tooling • Strong documentation skills, including architecture diagrams, design guides, and decision records • CCIE or equivalent expert-level certification preferred • At minimum, Cisco CCNP Enterprise, Palo Alto PCNSE, or Fortinet NSE 7/8 if CCIE is not held • Cloud networking certifications such as AWS Advanced Networking Specialty or Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer are a plus
