📋 Description

• Serve as a field-based extension of the Medical Affairs team and expert on argenx’s scientific data, products, and trials • Engage with Key Opinion Leaders at academic and community centers, including potential and confirmed clinical research sites • Support KOL development and advocacy as a strategic field partner with cross-functional colleagues • Understand disease management, map patient journeys, identify unmet medical needs and data gaps, and share insights to enhance patient care • Identify clinical trial sites and research opportunities • Coordinate with clinical development colleagues and external stakeholders • Support execution of clinical studies and build productive collaborations • Develop and maintain scientific and medical expertise across relevant diseases, products, and development plans • Identify and develop collaborations with Key Opinion Leaders, customers, stakeholders, and professional organizations • Support strategic territory plans and Medical Affairs strategy • Implement pharmaceutical regulations, argenx policies, and procedures • Conduct scientific and medical exchanges and education with external stakeholders • Implement Medical Affairs tactics to assess potential new indications, treating communities, patient pathways, diagnostic practices, and disease management • Coordinate responses to external Medical Information enquiries • Identify medical research projects and publication opportunities • Attend meetings and congresses to gather intelligence, develop collaborations, and share insights • Capture and disseminate relevant knowledge and stakeholder interactions within argenx • Identify investigators and centers for clinical research, support feasibility assessments and site initiation, and maintain site collaborations • Train CROs, CRAs, and study site staff as required • Develop and execute site contact plans • Support resolution of site-level study issues and escalate safety reports • Provide feedback to internal and external stakeholders • Collaborate closely with argenx clinical development, operations, and cross-functional teams • Provide medical affairs support and respond to internal and external requests

🎯 Requirements

• Scientific, healthcare or medical degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, DO, DNP, PA) • 3+ years field-based experience in biopharmaceutical industry • Experience in clinical R&D and/or medical affairs preferred • Clinical experience in neurology, hematology, immunology, and/or rare diseases is an advantage • Knowledge of regulations and practices related to industry interactions with healthcare professionals • Valid driver’s license • Ability for 50% travel • Ability to quickly understand complex disease areas, treatments and clinical development plans, healthcare landscape, hospital systems, healthcare professionals, and patient journey • Demonstrated ability to build productive collaborations with medical experts • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills • Ability to thrive as part of a team and when working independently • Proven track record of delivering results that meet or exceed targeted objectives
