📋 Description

• Maintain the assigned DBMS-based application system and associated security procedures • Provide project status reports to the Database Administration Supervisor • Assist with configuration management and database control programming • Participate in 24-hour on-call support for Applications Development areas • Monitor production database space utilization and identify design changes or reorganizations • Define and allocate space for test databases • Monitor standards and procedures for production database recoverability and availability • Participate in disaster recovery testing • Evaluate database performance and recommend solutions for schemas, tables, procedures, and permissions • Provide consultation and support regarding database and program design and implementation • Perform other duties as required

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, or five years of relevant experience in lieu of degree • Minimum three years of direct experience in Database Administration, Database Operations, Computer Operations, or Systems Programming • Minimum one year of experience with Database Management Software (DBMS) • Knowledge of at least one programming language • Knowledge of appropriate operating systems, utilities, shell scripts, visual editors, or related database tools • Experience or certifications in ServiceNow ITOM Discovery, Service Mapping, and System Administrator preferred • Knowledge of IBM Db2, MySQL, Oracle Database, Oracle Active Data Guard, and SQL • Knowledge of ServiceNow Administration/ITOM, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Service Graph Connectors, and CSDM • Ability to support database security, backup and recovery, monitoring, performance, and disaster recovery • Ability to participate in 24-hour on-call support • Must adhere to information security, confidentiality, and segregation-of-duties guidelines
