📋 Description

• Assess clinicians’ and Veterans’ information and knowledge-based needs and translate them into requirements for VistA/CPRS and the Federal EHR • Characterize, evaluate, and refine clinical processes and workflows, including orders, referrals, medication management, and documentation • Develop, implement, and refine clinical decision support, including alerts, order sets and PowerPlans, clinical reminders, documentation templates, and rules • Support enterprise standardization of clinical content across VA medical centers through national governance and approval processes • Participate in customization, implementation, management, evaluation, and continuous improvement of clinical information and order-entry systems • Analyze field clinical issues through tiered issue management and recommend content or configuration fixes • Support Federal EHR site go-lives and VistA/CPRS sustainment, including testing, validation, and post-go-live stabilization • Support analysis of health IT patient safety issues and safety monitors tied to clinical content • Help ensure clinical content displays and behaves correctly across VistA/CPRS, the Federal EHR, and community providers during data exchange • Evaluate changes using usage data, issue trends, and clinician feedback, and refine the build • Participate in SAFe Agile Release Train activities, including PI Planning, backlog refinement, iteration ceremonies, and system demos; decompose Epics into Features with acceptance criteria • Work alongside clinical informaticists, Tier 1 SMEs, and VA Business Owners

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree required • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience • Hands-on experience with EHRs or other clinical information systems, such as VistA/CPRS, Oracle Health (Cerner), or Epic, in an analyst, informaticist, or build role • Experience assessing clinical information needs and evaluating or redesigning clinical workflows • Experience developing, implementing, or refining clinical decision support • Ability to obtain and maintain a VA background investigation at the level assigned to the position • Must reside and work in the United States with U.S. work authorization
