• Support the Market Access and Reimbursement department in connecting patients, providers, and payors and ensuring access to Arthrex technologies and products • Serve as the primary reimbursement expert supporting the field on reimbursement of Arthrex products • Assist the Director, Market Access and Reimbursement with field reimbursement initiatives, HCP engagement, support, and communication • Educate and train Sales teams and agencies on U.S. reimbursement, including coding, coverage, payment, and contracting • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Product Management, and Regulatory teams to anticipate market needs and develop customer-facing tools, economic models, and reimbursement tactics • Partner with Sales leadership to plan and prioritize customer visits, provide education, and deliver value-based messages • Develop and implement reimbursement, market access, and value-based strategies aligned with commercial objectives • Develop relationships with local physician champions to support interactions with payers and intermediaries • Ensure functional-area compliance and support organizational compliance objectives • Travel throughout the U.S., up to 40%
• 5+ years of experience working in healthcare delivery/administration, a healthcare insurance plan, or the medical device industry • Bachelor’s degree required • Master’s degree or other advanced degree is a plus • Orthopedic medical device experience desired but not required • Prior field reimbursement experience in medical devices desired but not required • Certified Professional Coder certification is a plus • Detailed knowledge of medical device billing and coding, including CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 • Detailed knowledge of payer coverage requirements, prior authorization, claim submission, adjudication, and appeals • Knowledge of U.S. healthcare policy, payment systems, and contracting methodologies, including Medicare and commercial payers • Knowledge of inpatient, outpatient, physician office, and ASC/HOPD sites of service • Ability to train sales team members on coding, coverage, reimbursement, and contracting concepts • Ability to set and manage priorities and multiple projects • Ability to work with ambiguity and adapt in a rapidly changing environment • Experience working in functional and cross-functional teams • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, including relationship development and influencing business objectives • Ability to prioritize and implement multiple workstreams with multiple stakeholder audiences • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Account management and customer service experience, including CRM use such as Salesforce • Computer literacy, including remote connectivity and Microsoft Office Suite • Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record • Ability to travel throughout the U.S. by plane, train, or vehicle • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and analytics/business intelligence software
