📋 Description

• Leads the strategy and investigation for complex professional liability and medical malpractice claims from initial report through final resolution • Directs external defense counsel on case action plans, ensuring litigation adheres to organizational guidelines and protocols • Establishes precise loss reserves and executes National Claims Committee reports for significant high-exposure matters • Negotiates directly with plaintiff attorneys and represents the organization at mediations, trials, and depositions to secure favorable settlements • Collaborates with Risk Management to translate claim outcomes into lessons learned that improve patient safety and reduce future liability

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required • 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred • Leads strategy and investigation for complex professional liability and medical malpractice claims • Directs external defense counsel on case action plans • Establishes loss reserves and executes National Claims Committee reports • Negotiates with plaintiff attorneys and represents the organization at mediations, trials, and depositions • Collaborates with Risk Management to improve patient safety and reduce future liability
