📋 Description

• Serve as the primary medication safety subject matter expert and Chair of the Medication Safety Expert Review Panel (ERP) • Lead health-system-wide safety initiatives, strategic planning, budgeting, and policy development • Analyze medication-use errors, adverse drug reactions, and continuous quality improvement (CQI) data • Design and implement error-reduction strategies targeting drug shortages, look-alike sound-alike (LASA) risks, and drug diversion • Oversee technical integration, installation, and optimization of pharmacy information systems and automation technologies • Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws and regulatory standards • Drive High-Reliability Organization (HRO) principles and foster an open culture of safety and transparent communication • Partner with internal safety committees, interdisciplinary leadership, and external regulatory bodies, including ISMP and the FDA MedWatch program

🎯 Requirements

• Pharmacist licensure/certification/registration obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy required • 5 years of experience required • 2 years of leadership or management experience required • Hospital Pharmacy experience strongly preferred • Hospital Pharmacy Residency experience preferred • Master's degree preferred • 10 years of experience preferred • 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred
