📋 Description

• Develop, conduct, and/or coordinate the coding quality review process • Analyze coding errors and formulate advice and education • Identify and advise staff on quality improvement opportunities • Participate in individualized feedback for coding staff • Summarize review results and identify trends for specific educational opportunities • Prepare summary reporting of coding review results as requested • Work 40 hours per week, primarily during day hours, with flexible shift details based on operational needs

🎯 Requirements

• Graduate of a Medical Coding Program required, unless two years of Coding experience is used in lieu of the program • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred • Bachelor's Degree in a health care related field preferred • Graduate of a Health Information Technology program preferred • 3 years of related coding or review experience in a health care setting required • 5 years of multi-specialty professional coding experience in an academic medical center preferred • Experience with word processing, spreadsheets and database software required • Experience with coding concepts including CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS required • Experience using Microsoft Office required • One of CPC, CCS, CIC, COC, or CCS-P certifications required • CPMA, RHIT, or RHIA preferred • Must be located in an approved remote work state for UW Health
