📋 Description

• Set technical direction across multiple services and teams with broad autonomy • Define AI platform patterns for agent orchestration, tooling, governance hooks, and evaluation surfaces • Own reliability, testing, CI/CD, and operational standards across multiple teams • Provide technical leadership across teams and influence staffing and roadmap priorities • Advise teams as a technical expert and embed within teams to deliver complex, high-value functionality • Design and build production systems in Python across the AI stack • Define patterns and mentor engineers across teams • Operate as both a technical advisor and an embedded resource, moving between teams and initiatives to solve complex technical problems

🎯 Requirements

• Principal-level, hands-on experience as a technical leader who sets direction across teams while still writing production code • Deep expertise in Python and backend service development, including production APIs and services • Deep expertise in cloud platform engineering and cloud-native, event-driven systems; AWS preferred • Deep expertise in GenAI / LLM application engineering, including RAG, embeddings, prompting, and guardrails on managed model platforms • Deep expertise in agent tooling and integration protocols such as MCP, including agent coordination patterns • Deep expertise in data persistence across relational, key-value, document, and warehouse stores, with async data access and schema migration • Deep expertise in application security and identity, including authentication, authorization, secrets management, and policy enforcement, ideally in a multi-tenant context • Deep expertise in automated testing and quality engineering across unit, integration, and end-to-end layers • Deep expertise in modern developer tooling and code-quality practices, including linting, typing, formatting, and reproducible builds • Comfortable with Infrastructure as Code, containerization and orchestration, CI/CD and release automation, and observability and evaluation for LLM and backend systems • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience • Must be eligible to work in the United States, as indicated by participation in E-Verify
