• Lead capacity building initiatives that strengthen jurisdictional preparedness for overdose-related events • Design and facilitate learning opportunities, workshops, peer learning activities, and technical assistance engagements • Support jurisdictions in applying preparedness frameworks, tools, and promising practices • Lead planning and implementation of learning cohorts and other capacity building initiatives • Facilitate cohort sessions, workshops, and collaborative learning activities • Lead planning, facilitation, implementation, and coordination of assigned project activities • Develop workplans, agendas, facilitation guides, presentations, resources, and other project deliverables • Coordinate implementation with jurisdictions, consultants, subject matter experts, federal partners, and internal ASTHO teams • Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and implementation progress • Lead development, maintenance, and improvement of preparedness resources, implementation tools, templates, and technical products • Translate lessons learned, evaluation findings, and emerging practices into practical resources • Support dissemination of promising practices that strengthen overdose preparedness nationwide • Support project evaluation, document lessons learned, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement • Prepare progress reports, summary reports, and other deliverables • Incorporate participant feedback and evaluation findings into future activities and resources • Build and maintain relationships with jurisdictions, federal partners, consultants, and national organizations • Represent ASTHO by facilitating meetings, workshops, conference sessions, and technical assistance engagements • Collaborate across ASTHO teams to support implementation and dissemination • Contribute to conference presentations, publications, case studies, webinars, podcasts, and other dissemination activities • Promote project resources and promising practices through national meetings, partner engagement, and communications
• Master�s degree in public health, public policy, health administration, social sciences, or related field preferred • Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible experience in public health, overdose prevention, substance use, injury prevention, emergency preparedness, or related field • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines • Experience designing and facilitating workshops, learning collaboratives, technical assistance activities, or other adult learning opportunities • Experience developing public health resources, toolkits, guidance documents, presentations, or other technical products • Experience building collaborative relationships with state, territorial, tribal, local, or national partners • Knowledge of overdose prevention, substance use, public health preparedness, or related public health topics • Experience supporting project evaluation, performance measurement, and preparation of project reports and other deliverables • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and build productive relationships with internal and external partners • Ability and willingness to travel a minimum of 5% and up to 10% of the time
