📋 Description

• Develop and own Asurion's parts supply creation strategy across OEM-adjacent factories, refurbishment operators, recycling players, and secondary market channels • Cultivate direct relationships with supply partners across Asia and domestic markets • Identify, qualify, and onboard new supply sources while assessing quality, compliance, and scalability • Maintain current understanding of Asian supply ecosystems, including Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong • Travel to China and broader Asian manufacturing and refurbishment hubs for supplier assessment, negotiations, and market opportunities • Develop sourcing policies, preferred supplier frameworks, and supply continuity strategies • Partner with Legal, Compliance, and OEM relationship owners, including Apple and Google teams, on parts-sourcing compliance • Identify and resolve regulatory, contractual, reputational, geopolitical, OEM-policy, and trade-compliance risks • Own SCaaS parts supply creation, including SKU sourcing strategies and supply relationships • Translate demand signals into supply strategies with cost, availability, and compliance implications • Develop scalable supplier frameworks and commercial structures • Set functional direction and resolve complex sourcing, compliance, and market problems autonomously • Influence Repair Operations, Planning, Legal, Quality, Finance, OEMs, suppliers, and legal counsel • Build operating discipline through supplier performance tracking, commit management, qualification pipelines, issue escalation, and market intelligence • Provide executive-level supply risk assessments and sourcing recommendations • Coordinate with repair operations and parts procurement teams in the Philippines

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in global sourcing, parts procurement, or supply chain within mobile devices, consumer electronics, or refurbishment/remanufacturing • Track record sourcing OEM, NDOS, refurbished, or recycled components from Asian supply chains through direct factory and operator relationships • Experience sourcing across multiple device categories, geographies, and supplier types with program- or enterprise-level accountability • Experience working with Legal and Compliance on OEM agreements, parts-sourcing policies, or cross-border trade compliance • Ability to influence Planning, Operations, Legal, and Finance stakeholders without direct management authority • Active, current relationships with OEM factories, refurbishment operators, recycling/harvesting companies, and secondary-market participants in China, especially Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong • Recognized credibility in the Asian mobile-device and components market • Ability to identify sourcing opportunities outside standard procurement channels • Ability and willingness to travel regularly to China and Asian markets • Ability to apply commodity pricing, OEM supply signals, and refurbishment-market intelligence to sourcing decisions • Strong negotiation skills in relationship-driven markets • Ability to assess part quality and yield potential in supplier or factory settings • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and procurement/supply-chain management tools • Mandarin Chinese proficiency strongly preferred • High autonomy, executive communication, cross-functional influence, and trust-based relationship building • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field required
