📋 Description

• Serve legacy and new-build nuclear clients designing, building, upgrading, operating, and maintaining nuclear power generation and fuel-cycle assets • Oversee and direct work activities supporting the design, engineering, and licensing of nuclear projects related to operations, maintenance, operator training, and security • Lead the operations engineering team and inform design configurations with operability insights • Optimize functionality, reliability, cost, and compliance with U.S. nuclear industry best practices • Direct research and solve complex technical problems with broad impact • Make independent decisions and resolve important questions as a recognized technical authority • Oversee and supervise the technical work of senior professionals • Interface with senior technical managers and all levels of management • Provide technical direction and establish technical criteria for projects • Represent and defend the company's technical work to clients and regulatory agencies • Participate in technical quality assurance reviews and assist with project reviews and audits • Coordinate staffing needs and assist with recruitment and orientation for technical vacancies • Lead high-risk, complex initiatives and develop execution strategies • Solve unique and complex operational problems with broad business impact • Influence direction and resource allocation for initiatives, projects, or services • Communicate complex ideas and persuade senior stakeholders to adopt different viewpoints • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering • Requires 15 years of experience; typical incumbent has 20–25 years of experience • Strong communication skills in a challenging, multi-tiered environment • Strong organizational skills • Ability to foster and achieve goal alignment among participants with differing interests • Expert knowledge in the operations and maintenance of commercial nuclear facilities • Extensive knowledge of RadCon requirements and practices for nuclear facilities • Extensive knowledge of material control and accountability practices for nuclear facilities • Knowledge and experience related to developing training programs for operations and maintenance activities in an NRC-regulated environment • Must be a U.S. citizen • Previous SRO or RO license at a commercial nuclear facility is desirable
