📋 Description

• Oversee the end-to-end hands-on management of Insurance Broking Accounts (IBA) • Act as the primary liaison between Finance, broking, and Client Solutions • Monitor and manage collections and ensure timely receipt of funds from clients and brokers • Ensure prompt settlement of balances • Allocate incoming cash accurately across multiple accounts and transactions • Perform regular account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies • Lead credit control activities and manage aged debt • Improve cash collection performance • Resolve accounting queries with brokers, finance teams, and external counterparties • Monitor cash flow across broking accounts and identify potential risks or delays • Ensure compliance with FCA CASS rules, internal controls, and company policies where applicable • Produce management information and reports on aged debt, cash allocation, reconciliations, and outstanding balances • Support process improvements and drive efficiencies

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years' hands-on, operational experience within Insurance Broking Accounts (IBA) • Strong experience within the reinsurance broking market • Excellent understanding of premium accounting, cash allocation, and reconciliations • Proven experience in credit control and debt management • Strong understanding of broking accounting processes and financial controls • Ability to work effectively between Finance and Operations teams • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
