📋 Description

• Analyze the current customer base and product needs, offer business-fit solutions, and maintain CRM information • Consult customers on market conditions, innovations, and product information • Provide practical training to customer staff • Present and conduct tastings for Executive Chefs, Pastry Chefs, and Food and Beverage Directors • Provide detailed cost/quality benefit analyses • Gather competitive market intelligence and develop sales strategies to grow territory market share • Evaluate market trends through social media activity and collaborate on official AUI Fine Foods social media posts • Develop new business through cold calling, lead databases, and local pastry/restaurant organizations and clubs • Collaborate with Customer Service, Inside Sales, Purchasing, Shipping, and Finance • Travel to customers within the assigned geographic territory • Review past-due accounts and facilitate customer payment communications • Provide item forecasts in CRM for large businesses or upon request

🎯 Requirements

• First-hand experience and knowledge of food service, distribution, or the hospitality industry • General knowledge of pastry ingredients and techniques used in pastry arts • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Preferred: outside sales experience • Preferred: bachelor's degree or culinary degree • Preferred: ability to lead marketing events, shows, demonstrations, and networking events • Preferred: goal-driven self-starter able to work independently on the road with minimal direct supervision
