📋 Description

• Define and execute the Growth & Acquisition engineering strategy for Autodesk's .com platform • Lead, coach, and develop a multi-layer engineering organization through engineering managers • Drive execution across customer-facing products and platform capabilities • Balance near-term delivery with platform modernization, scalability, reliability, security, and operational excellence • Partner with Product Management, User Experience, Marketing, Commerce, Data Science, and Engineering leaders • Guide architectural direction across customer-facing applications and shared platform services • Establish engineering operating mechanisms, governance, and performance metrics • Recruit, develop, and retain exceptional engineering talent while building leadership succession • Champion modern engineering practices, continuous learning, innovation, and data-driven decision making • Communicate engineering strategy, technical tradeoffs, organizational health, and investment recommendations to senior leadership

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of software engineering experience • At least 5 years leading high-performing engineering organizations • Experience owning long-term engineering vision, technology strategy, and execution for customer-facing platforms • Experience leading multi-team engineering organizations through engineering managers • Experience driving platform direction and technology investment decisions across interconnected systems • Experience establishing engineering operating mechanisms, organizational standards, and performance metrics • Strong cross-functional partnership with senior leaders across Product, Design, Marketing, Commerce, Data Science, and Engineering • Ability to make complex decisions involving technical solutions, organizational design, portfolio prioritization, and resource allocation • Ability to develop engineering leaders and talent and foster technical excellence • Ability to communicate strategy, risks, and investment recommendations to senior leadership • Role may require in-person onboarding and/or in-person identity verification
