📋 Description

• Report to the Supervisor of Operation Specialist • Work closely with Avantor Lab and Production Services professionals to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols • Support multiple facilities and/or customers in a strategic geographic area • Perform Coordinator, Technician, Material Handler, and Glass Washer functions as backup during vacations, leave, or emergencies • Act as backup to other territories and travel outside the designated territory as needed • Coordinate and lead team efforts related to customer requirements • Complete projects including Standard Operating Procedures, Scopes of Work, Standard Work, and On-The-Job Training • Interface directly with customer points of contact, purchasing directors, facility directors, and plant managers • Procure lab supplies and materials • Utilize Avantor and customer systems including SAP, Inventory Manager, Chemical Manager, and customer-specific applications • Train Avantor Lab and Production Services associates on service offerings • Provide SAP support, including customer services, credit rebills, and invoice scrubbing • Modify and maintain quality metrics and key performance indicators • Manage a budget related to expense reports • Meet revenue, TOE, safety, performance, and quality goals and objectives • Create programs to improve service efficiencies • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required • 3+ years of experience in inventory control, procurement, shipping and receiving, inside sales, or similar areas is a plus • Microsoft Suite experience • Overnight travel is required • Must be able to use own vehicle and fly when traveling farther • Sites where coverage is provided require associates to be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs • Previous experience working in a GMP facility is strongly desired • Strong communication skills • Knowledge of Information Access and System ESS • A valid driver's license is required to perform the essential functions of the job • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines • Willingness and ability to travel between multiple locations • Cross-referencing and inside sales experience are a plus • Forklift Certification is a plus • Prior experience with VWR/Avantor products and services is a plus • IATA, DOT, OSHA Right to Know, and IMDG knowledge is a plus • CDL is a plus, not a requirement
